We Care About Our Neighbors, Nov. 7, 2007
Dear Rotarians:
Although the smoke and ashes in our air have cleared, the devastation caused by the recent fires remains and many of you have asked how you can help. Here is an opportunity to show that you care about those who have lost so very much. ( Now click on More below for the rest of Gov. David's letter:)
The five Rotary Mountain Clubs and thousands of Rotarians within District 5330 are working hard to raise funds for victims of the recent fires. I am asking the clubs in our district to join them in their efforts. Please show you care about your neighbors, many who lost almost everything, while sending your “Thank-you†to Firefighters, Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Staff and the Volunteers.
Purchase a Rotary “We Care†automobile grade high-quality laminated sticker for a minimum $5.00 donation. All proceeds will be sent to Rotary District 5330 charities which are providing help to those most in need due to fire related losses.
Monetary donations are also welcome and are tax-deductible. Please ask your club to purchase stickers or donate and send your checks to the district office as soon as possible: Rotary District 5280, 8939 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Suite 312, Los Angeles, CA 90045. We will distribute the stickers as we receive your donations.
