1st District 5280 Blood Drive

(EL SEGUNDO & BELL GARDENS) – Altogether 40 pints of blood were donated by District 5280 Rotarians during the first District blood drive of the current Rotary Year.  That represents about 13 percent towards Governor Chuck Anderson's goal of 300 pints.                                                            

Donation sites were at the Hacienda Hotel in El Segundo and the Rio Hondo Boys & Girls Club in Bell Gardens. Dates for the remaining three blood drives are: Nov. 3, 2008, Jan. 15, 2009, and May 14, 2009 said Searey.   "Four drives are planned," said Rick Searey, Senior AG Community Service. Sites will be announced soon, he added.
