Overview

2025 Pageant of the Arts | Final Competition March 8, 2025

Location: Nickelodeon Animation Studios, 231 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91502

 
PLEASE READ: Are you attending the Pageant of the Arts Finals (students, parents, Rotarians and all others)? 
Because this is a studio lot with restricted access it's a requirement that all guests be added to the entry list by March 6th. Anyone 18 or over must bring their government issued ID to access the facility. Add your name to the entry list HERE.
 

About Pageant of the Arts:

High school students, on the brink of adulthood, have so many talents!  The Pageant of the Arts is a competition that encourages them to develop, hone, and display these talents for all to appreciate.

The 5 Arts that comprise the Pageant are Music-Instrumental; Music-Vocal; Art (2-dimensional or 3-dimensional); Dance, and Speech.  
 
Each contest is judged by experts in their fields.  
 
The First Place in each contest receives a $1,000 cash prize; Second Place $500; and Third Place $250.
 
Each Rotary club in District 5280 may send one contestant each for Art or Speech, and soloists or groups for Dance and Music. These may be the winners of contests at the club, or simply nominated.  For more details on the program, including recruitment material and how-to advice, please see details below.

Welcome! There are 5 contests: Speech, Art, Dance, Music Instrumental and Music Vocal.
Your Judges are all experts in their field – some are Rotarians, others not, but all are dedicated to inspiring and encouraging young artists.  Contestants are welcome to a copy of their Judging Forms upon request.
 
Bottled water will be provided.  Bring a snack should you need it.
 
Start times are staggered by contest. 
 
Dance Contestants -
9:00 am - SIGN-IN; SET-UP Music/Sound System Checks
9:30  am - Dance Contest Begins
10:45 am - Dance Contest Winners Announced
 
Art Contestants -  
9:30 am - SIGN-IN and set up.
10:00 am - Art Contest Begins
11:15 to 11:30 am - Art Contest winner announced
             
Music Contestants - 
11:00 am SIGN-IN, SET-UP Music/Sound System Checks
11:30 am -Music Contest Begins
1:45 pm to 2:00 pm - Music Contest Winners announced
 
Speech Contestants
11:30 am SIGN-IN 
12:00 pm -  Speech Contest Begins
1:15  to 1:30  pm - Speech Contest Winners announced
 
*Sign In and Performance /Presentation times are firm.
*Length of time allotted for contests may change based on the number of contestant

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ROTARY CLUBS

How the competitions work:

Club Level Competition Instructions:

  • Before any contestant can participate in the District-level competition on March 8, they must first compete in a club-level contest or be sponsored by a club.
  • Each student competing at the club level must complete the “Contestant Registration & Consent Form” and return to their sponsoring Rotary Club. The club will retain this form and send a copy to the Pageant of the Arts Chair, Debbie Wehbe at debbierotary5280@gmail.com. 
  • Contestant Registration & Consent forms:
    • Contestant Registration/Consent Form- ART
    • Contestant Registration/Consent Form- DANCE
    • Contestant Registration/Consent Form- MUSIC (Instrumental & Vocal)
    • Contestant Registration/Consent Form- SPEECH
  • Rotary Clubs should must retain a copy of completed registration forms, which will be helpful in completing the online application (see next section).
  • Each Rotary Club may send one contestant each for Speech and Art, and soloists or groups for Dance and Music

District Level Competition Instructions:

​​​​​Rotary Clubs: Please complete the steps below ONLY for students that are advancing to the District-level competition on March 8, 2025.
 
  • PAYMENT
    • Rotary Clubs (not student) should send the entry fee for each contestant advancing to the District-level competition by February 24, 2025.
    • Payment Structure:
      • Small Clubs (20 members or less): $100 per contestant
      • Medium Clubs (21-49 members): $160 per contestant
      • Large Clubs (50+ members): $210 per contestant
    • Pay by check: Send payment to Rotary District 5280 Office:
      • 8055 W. Manchester Ave, Suite 460, Playa Del Rey, CA 90293
    • Pay online: Visit the payment link to pay via credit card
 
  • ONLINE APPLICATION
    • Rotary Clubs (not student) must complete the online application for all contestants advancing to the District-level competition by February 24, 2025. 
    • Students are only responsible for filling out the registration form (see club level competition section) and returning to Rotary Club.
    • District-level entry forms:
