District 5280 Rotarians & Friends~
As you all are aware, in October 2024 47 Rotarians returned from the first humanitarian trip this year to Maui. We had a wonderful and positively impactful time in Maui. What was originally meant to be three service projects turned into ten service projects. From building furniture for new tiny homes to cleaning up the memorial where you see over 100 photos of individuals who lost their lives in the wildfires to building shade structures at a local tent shelter for chronically homeless individuals, YOU ALL MADE THAT HAPPEN.
Far too many times I have heard, where is the impact of our monetary contributions to the humanitarian trip. Well, we have assembled this section on our website in which you are being provided links to Maui newspaper articles, video footage to the service projects and a google drive link where many photos are living (photos courtesy of Rotarian Paul Klose from PVP).
THANK YOU FOR YOUR MEMBERSHIP IN OUR DISTRICT. Together we are making a difference in Los Angeles County and abroad. I am honored to walk alongside you all, Club Presidents. Lastly, visit our photo gallery for more images of our work.
