In an era of 24/7 online and in-person communication, it's easy for your messages to get lost. The District Communications Committee (members listed below) is brand new and provides a vital service to the District and to the clubs. The committee members are available for consultation with club presidents as well as club publicity/communications chairs, to help with any communication issues, whether it be with current/prospective members, local community leaders or with the media. Where in the past, club presidents may have felt "talked at," our goal is to listen and respond in addition to providing information essential to running a successful club. A series of informational sessions are listed below.
LA Basin Outdoor Advertising: outdoor ads touting Rotary will appear in strategic locations in Fall 2023
Club President Info Sessions: a series of Zoom and in-person workshops on topics such as Media Relations, Effective Use of Social Media, General Outreach
Ask The Communications Experts: An email hotline to the Chief Communications Officer will launch July 1. Members of the committee will field club officers' most pressing communications questions.
