Angel City Celebration
In response to the needs of the South Los Angeles residents, this year our showcase project is “Help Neighbors in Need”. South Los Angeles has been identified with the highest rate of poverty and frequent gang activity. Residents struggle to pay their rent and provide essentials to their children. Again, LA County Parks and Rotarian are determined to make this event more joyful for all. We plan a variety of entertainments and activities for the young children and their parents.
The Planning Committee members would like to express our thanks to the Angel City partners and volunteers who assisted us in transforming a simple toys and food giveaway into a full-fledged health, resources, book and toys fair. In addition of toys and books, this year we secured a generous donation of women’s clothing and food boxes which we hope will encourage all ages of female members of the household to attend the event.
