POSTPONED-RYLA

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that RYLA 2026, scheduled for October 16–18 at The Painted Turtle in Lake Hughes, must be postponed due to the current electrical blackout caused by high winds.

The safety and well-being of our students and counselors is our highest priority. Given the current power situation and the potential safety concerns associated with the high winds and resulting outage, we cannot proceed with the weekend as planned.

We know how much our students have been looking forward to this experience, and we understand the disappointment and inconvenience this unexpected change will cause for families, schools, and our dedicated counselors. This decision has not been made lightly, but the safety of everyone attending must come first.

Moving Forward

We are working with The Painted Turtle and our RYLA team to determine the next steps and, if possible, arrange alternative dates. We will communicate further details as soon as they are confirmed.

Please do not send your student to camp tomorrow. We ask that you share this announcement with anyone who may not receive it directly.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we navigate this unexpected situation. We are committed to providing our students with the meaningful leadership experience they deserve and hope to bring everyone together for RYLA as soon as circumstances allow.
