Youth Protection Training

Rotary International, like all organizations that work closely with youth, have strict guidelines to ensure the safety of our youth. All Rotarians and volunteers who work with our youth, in any capacity, including Interact, RYLA, Pageant of the Arts, Rotary Youth Exchange, or any other youth related activities, must receive training every two years, and for Rotary Youth Exchange, training is required every year. The training will be provided by Tom Johnstone, SAG for Youth Protection and Risk Management.
So far this Rotary year (through the end of August), we have had 58 Rotarians in District 5280 receive the training, at the District Assembly and a group club training involving several clubs at a regular meeting. The October 2nd training takes about an hour, including the application for the background check. If you or other members of your club work with youth and have not been trained yet, please register for the training. Please assist us in making sure that all of our members and clubs are in compliance!
