PolioPlus Society members are invited to a Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Saturday, October 22nd at 2:00PM, two days before World Polio Day.

About the Wine Tasting:

The tasting includes both a Taste of Italy AND, thanks to the generous support of Sharon Townsend, President of the Glendale Sunrise Club, and her husband Ron Gulli, we will also be offering a vertical Foxen wine tasting for a $10 donation on the day of the event.  Vertical tastings are rare, and Foxen wines are wonderful, so this is a special treat!

Thank you also to Woodland Hills Rotary and Wilshire for sponsoring tasting stations.
This wine tasting is at no cost to PolioPlus Society Members (those who have or will pledge $100+ to PolioPlus for the year).  We will offer wine for sale as well some other fun wine-related fundraising options.
The wine tasting is limited to 100 people so sign up now and, if you have not already done so, send your completed PolioPlus Society form to Amy Worthington Cuomo at

Show Your Support For PolioPlus:

You are encouraged to wear red and/or Polio Plus related gear.  In fact, we encourage all District 5280 Rotarians to wear red on World Polio Day on Monday, October 24th, and post your images to social media.
More PolioPlus fundraising ideas will be shared throughout the year. This wine tasting is a way to launch our annual fundraising efforts as eradication of this crippling disease is as important as ever.

Event Details and Volunteer Opportunity:

The wine tasting will be held at the home of Wilshire Rotarian Amy Worthington Cuomo in Mid City, on the non-pool side where this is much room to gather and ample tables and chairs will be available.  Ride sharing encouraged, street parking available, and spaces will be saved in the driveway for those with mobility issues...simply email Amy at to save a space.
Finally, if you would like to be a volunteer pourer, please contact Amy Cuomo as we will have a pre-taste education on these lovely wines.
