Rotary District 5280 Annual Picnic

UPDATE:  The deadline to register your club for the District Picnic, Cardboard Boat Race and Chili Competition has been extended to Monday, September 30. Please complete the necessary forms and submit them to the District Office with payment.

This year’s District Picnic promises to be the Biggest and Boldest ever, but we can’t do it without your help!  Last year we had more than 1,000 people in attendance and we expect more this year.

Honoring Our Veterans: The picnic will have a patriotic theme so wear your red, white and blue!  As part of the festivities we will be honoring the veterans in the District 5280 and hope many will attend to receive special recognition. If you are a veteran, please let your club president know if you plan to attend. To all veterans attending the picnic we ask that, if possible, you wear some item to show your branch of service (for example, a hat, jacket, shirt, etc) When you arrive at the picnic, please check-in at the veterans registration table. We plan to have a short ceremony at 1:00pm. We hope you will join us.

In addition to the always hysterical Cardboard Boat Race, we are having a Chili Cook-off with the winning club going home with the fabulous Chili Pot Award!

Once again our New Generations will be planning fun games and activities for the entire family. 

We would like (but do not require) every club in the district to contribute food, drinks or money, it’s your choice.  If you agree to provide food, we will need a salad, side dish or dessert for at least 25 people.  If you prefer to contribute money we are asking for $50 to $100, I’ll leave that up to you (if your club is participating in the Chili Cook-off or Cardboard Boat Race you need only contribute $25.00).   Attached is the District Picnic Flyer, a club registration form, a Cardboard Boat Race Application and a Chili Cook-off Application.
