March Is Literacy Month

PDG Jim Hamai, Rotary Club of Lawndale, reading to a classroom of young children.  Rotarians throughout District 5280 participate actively in donating books and reading often in both public and private schools.  Many Rotary Clubs donate dictionaries which are treasured by third graders.  This year Rotarians have accepted the challenge to gather more than 1,000 books per club for the Wide World of Books at the LA2008 Rotary Convention.  How is your Rotary, Rotaract or Interact Club doing?
