A Special Homecoming For The Governor's Home Club Visit

October 29, 2013- The Rotary Clubs of Downey and Bellflower held a joint meeting to celebrate the official Governor's Visit to Doug's home club- the Rotary Club of Downey. While the Governor's Visit to his or her home club is always a celebratory event, this meeting had special significance. The clubs, along with District leadership, showed their support to Governor Doug and his family as First Lady Connie continues her brave battle against cancer. All attendees wore pearl pins, as white is the official color of lung cancer awareness.
